SCALED DOWN FOR THE RIGHT FIT

Petite sizing often falls short when it comes to truly fitting shorter women, leaving us with clothing that is either too long or frumpy. We're here to bridge the gap.

Our Sizes

WARNING: Your size may be different now that length is made for shorties!

XS or S

Our most popular size when shopping from regular clothing brands. While these sizes might still fit you, please be wary as you may need to size up for The Short Cut as we don't have to accommodate taller women within our sizing.

M

If you're a frequent flyer of petite S, this might be your perfect fit now that you're no longer shopping based on garment length.

L or XL

Designed for our curvier shorties in mind, we promise the lengths won't increase much from the other sizes. That's also what makes these sizes fantastic for those looking for a roomier fit.

SHORTER SLEEVES, SHORTER INSEAM, SHORTER EVERYTHING.

Most brands shorten the inseam of their pants and stick a "petite" label on them. That's the lazy way. We look at every detail from width of our shoulders, to the location of our elbows and knees, and the height of our necks.

FAQs

How does the clothing change from each size?

Great question! While most apparel companies will increase the length of the inseam and sleeves by as much as 1-2 inches between sizes, we do not. Since we are only focused on shorter women and not everyone, we only increase the length to accommodate the natural curves of our body as we increase in size.

If you have more questions, please reference our size chart.

I'm normally a size extra small or small when shopping from other brands, am I still these sizes for The Short Cut?

Maybe! But we've found that since our garments are cut specifically for us, removing length as a major concern. So, focus on bust, waiste, and hips measurements now as outlined in our size charts for your proper size.

Please note, it is common to need to size up for a comfortable fit.

Why do you not refer to your sizes as petite?

We love this question! There are three reasons why we don't like to refer to our brand or our sizing as petite.

Reason 1: For many of us shorties, petite sizes are still too big since they are primarily made for average height women closer to 5'3 to 5'4. "Why?" you may ask. Now that is a long winded answer that we'll get into later. But the short answer is companies are trying to fit the masses and not you.

Reason 2: So many people think of petite as small and skinny. We are a brand focused on shorter women of all shapes as sizes. Therefore, we prefer to refer to our sizing as shorty-friendly vs petite-friendly.

Reason 3: Brands that use petite sizing, like P-S or P-00, they try to make clothes to fit everyone, tallies, normies, and shorties. And when their clothes don't fit, their answer is "just hem it". Since we only focus on shorties, we don't feel its necessary to refer to our sizes as petite since that is a given per our company name! So when the clothes don't fit, PLEASE TELL US, we don't want you to feel forced to go to the tailor like everyone else.
